DEBATES: Airline issues

1. Does the airlines have a right to raise the fee annually?
- No. The airlines do not have a right to raise the fee annually.
Because it is ovious that rised fee will increase other prices too such as the service fee to use the airline or the fees to use the airport system and costomers will have to pay more to get the service from the airline. It will decrease the some's chance to fly with the airlines since some people can not afford to fly.

2. What should airlines focus on instead of trying to sell more tickets during the peak time.
-The airline should focus more on the having a right capacity and demand to make a profit and to offer a right service to customers.

3. Why should the airline reduce the weight of bags for international flight?
- Airline industry is based on flying the product around the world. It takes more fuel to fly more products since the fuel price is going up reducing the weight of bags would be the solution for airlines to make a profit.

1 Comments:

  • I don't understand the second sentence of the answer to #1. As for decreasing people's chance to see the other side of the world, an airline is under no obligation to keep those chances at a particular level.

The answer to # 2 contradicts the question: there are several other things an airline can do besides sell more tickets. The answer isn't a binary opposite to your 2/5/07 answer, it's an alternative.

#3 is, again, not a matter of binary opposites. There are multiple, alternative, competing responses to why weight should be reduced.
