Position: Yes. Classical music labels would devote more human resource and fund on developing advanced digital products to attract more young audience.

Position Statement

What is the motivation for jazz musicians to become studio artists, is it for profit or just to gain more popularity?

Yes,

Even though jazz is thought to be loved with passion for music, many people only go for profit, and studio artists make more profit generally.

New musicians abandon what is called "free jazz" and only rely on written and script music, which is easier to learn as well as play.

Project 4

Bullfighting should be banned in Spain or it should go on?

I think it should be banned.

Bullfighting is not really a fight it is an intentional killing of bulls beacuse bull is beaten and given drugs before coming to the fight which makes him weak. For me it is more a kind of animal cruelty rather than tration.

Position Statement

Are colleges doing a good job in creating positive experiences for International Students?

Yes.

Each year, more and more international students want to come to the States to attend college. International students around campus can be seen hanging around with other fellow international students.

Position Statement

Is it necessary to have complicated security system at the airport for the foreigners to enter US?

No, It is necessary to have a security for the safety of peole, but having a system that takes advantage of foreigners and hurts foreigners feelings to enter US is not necessary.

As a foreigner who enters us at least twice a year, I feel that current security system at this point is not fair for everyone who travels to US, since it is discriminating people by their nationality and US security system can say no to people who they do not want to enter for no reason and also it gives discomfort to everyone who comes to US going through all the security.

project 4

Question: Should China cancel the College Entrance Exam to help the help the colleges recruit more promising students?

Positions: No, the college application system in China can be revised but the College Entrance Exam should not be cancelled.

Reasons: Due to the tradition and current situation in Chinese education system, it is nealy impossible to ensure that every one has a equal oppotunity to be admitted. The best way is to revise the current system to put more considerations in the college admission system, or the College Entrance Exam itself, but the dominant situation of the College Entrance Exam should not be changed.

Position Statement

Question:
Is taking exchange student program in the United States better than studying in Korea to Korean students to study English?

Position:
Yes, in my opinion, taking exchange student program in the U.S. is better than studying in Korea to Korean students to study English.

Reason:
1. Because if Korean students learn English with American who speak English as mother tongue, their ability to speak English would increase faster than just studying English in Korea.
2. Because Korean students can not only learn English but also experience culture of America when they take exchange student program in the United States.

PROJECT 4 POSITION STATEMENT

Position: Muslim sepperatist

Reason: The police found lots of evidence that proves the bombs were made from the South.

The camera was able to capture an image of a terrorist.
There is a strong motivation since the problem from the south still unresolved.

P4 Debate Subject

What is the primary purpose of the May 13 riot that happened in several part of Indonesia? For the improvement of the economy (banishment of corruption etc), or to remove the Indonesian-Chinese that dominated the economy of Indonesia.

I think that the main purpose for the riot was to wipe out the Indonesian-Chinese from Indonesia.

If the main purpose of the riot was to improve the economy, a riot that involves in death and destructions at a scale as large as the one in Indonesia will not have happened. The riot continues for several days even after President Soeharto stepped down from his Presidency, with the stepdown of the President who was sought to be corrupt, the riot should have ended. However the riot continued on with more innocent people getting killed.

Position Statement

Position Statement - P4

Question: Is the Central American Free Trade Agreement (CAFTA) increasing unemployment?

Position: Yes.

Reason: I think that CAFTA has not created jobs from personal experience in the textile market. Since my parents are the owners of a clothes factory in El Salvador I have seen the decrease in availability of jobs. However, the textile market it’s not the only industry being affected, the increase of unemployment follow the pattern through all the labor sectors.
